Self-adhesive label materials supplier, UPM Raflatac has announced that it received the ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System certification for its Malaysian labelstock manufacturing facility.
The accreditation includes under its ambit the manufacture and slitting of self-adhesive paper and film labelstock, and is awarded by the British Standards Institution (BSI).
UPM Raflatac Southeast Asia general manager Nasuf Culha said the certification was one of the the highest priorities for UPM Raflatac Malaysia in 2012.
"This achievement marks UPM Raflatac's commitment and responsibility to the environment, an important testament for our customers and brand owners," said Culha.
