Bottles Made From Ocean Plastic Will Be Launched by Method

Eco-conscious cleaning product company Method is launching bottles made from a blend of plastic recovered from the ocean and post-consumer recycled plastic, as part of its effort to promote sustainable packaging.

This limited edition packaging is for the new Method product, a two-in-one hand and dish soap, will be available exclusively at Whole Foods Market stores across the US.

Method co-founder and chief greenskeeper Adam Lowry said the launch of ocean plastic packaging was a bid to present a practicable solution to address the plastic pollution problem.

"Method's ocean plastic bottle demonstrates in the extreme that recycling is possible," said Lowry.

According to the company almost all of its packaging is made from 100% post-consumer recycled material.

US-based Method, headquartered in San Francisco, California, is a provider of eco-conscious home and personal care products.

Its products are sold in more than 40,000 retail locations throughout North America, Europe, Australia and Asia.
