Wensli Group Planned to Relocate Its Product Development Centre to France

Wensli Group Co. Ltd. is planning to relocate its product development centre to France this year.

China’s silk industry has witnessed fluctuations in cocoon and silk prices in recent years and it was further impacted by last year’s downturn in leading global economies.

In spite of difficult environment, Wensli Group achieved over 30 percent growth in its silk sales and profits in 2012.

Wensli’s technical research and development (R&D) centre invested more than 90 million yuan in carrying out 21 projects, and achieved one invention patent.

Wensli, which combines ancient and modern silk techniques, designed over 30,000 new silk clothing products and created more than 1,000 works of art and decoration items based on silk materials in 2012.

Now, in order to attract world’s top designs and build silk luxury brands, Wensli Group is planning to move its technical R&D centre to France this year.
