China-based protein food developer Sino Agro Food (SIAF) has effected management changes to expand its brand in Europe.
SIAF has announced that Bertil Tiusanen has resigned from his position as the CFO and has taken up the role of New Ventures- Europe business development senior vice president. The role has become effective from 29 February 2016.
In the new role, Bertil Tiusanen will seek to identify opportunities that would align with SIAF's global strategy, engage with SIAF's global commercial leadership team, and prioritize existing and new initiatives, and managing the launch in Europe.
Daniel Ritchey, who is a member of the SIAF Board of Directors and currently its Audit Committee, will assume the responsibility of acting CFO. He would resign as a member of the Audit Committee once the interim CFO role becomes functional.
The company's board will form a search committee to fill the permanent CFO position.
SIAF chairman and CEO Solomon Lee said: "Our success is furthered by remaining flexible and utilizing our resources to best meet dynamic conditions and ambitions. This includes realigning the role and responsibility of individuals best suited to carry them forward.
"Mr. Tiusanen is highly qualified to handle the challenges his new position brings and to help accomplish the Company's goals in Europe.
"Mr. Ritchey will serve well as acting CFO bringing to it the same strengths and focus he has provided the Company over the last eight years.
"I am very confident in the work these individuals will provide their respective roles as we continue to develop our operations and move forward with our expansion."
Sino Agro Food develops protein foods and operates production facilities in China. It produces, distributes, markets, and sells sustainable seafood and beef in China. The company's activities also include production of organic fertilizer and produce.
