Tetra Pak Launches High Capacity Food Processing Homogenizer

Food packaging solutions provider Tetra Pak has launched a new food processing homogenizer Tetra Pak Homogenizer 500, which it claims to produce up to 63,600 litres per hour, minimizing operation cost.

The device, which is touted to be the world's largest capacity food processing homogenizer, features Tetra Pak's HD EnergyIQ device which uses six gaps instead of one thereby facilitating it to operate at pressures around 20% lower than standard machines, while delivering products of same quality.

Tetra Pak claims that the use of this device offers energy efficiency and significant reduction in costs. Additionally, lower operating pressure would result in lesser wear.

The Tetra Pak Homogenizer 500 has been designed to allow easy service access. Like other aseptic Tetra Pak homogenizers, this machine claimed to use 80% less cooling water and 70% less steam compared to similar brands.

Tetra Pak Homogenizer 500 has been launched in association with Chinese food company YinLu.

YinLu Anhui plant general manager Wu Zhong Ping said: "Our peanut milk is a best seller in the market and is gaining popularity among young consumers.

"The opportunity to use the Tetra Pak Homogenizer 500 came at a time when we were looking for efficient ways to expand production and capture market growth. The machine delivers exactly what we want: it does the job of two machines with increased production and reduced operational costs, and there is no compromise on the product quality."

Tetra Pak Group technical director Anders Karlsson said: "Launching the world's largest capacity homogenizer means that our customers can achieve significant economies of scale, producing more for a lower cost per litre. This is vital for dairy and beverage producers seeking to meet growing consumer demand."
