Plastic packaging provider Petainer will launch petainerJar, a new PET jar, designed specifically for food manufacturers.
The petainerJar is claimed to be the cost effective and sustainable option over other jars, and has much less weight.
Petainer said that the petainerJar is made using a material made from its PET blend that offers various benefits, including superior barrier technology for extended shelf life, and maximized weight reduction in design saving materials.
Available in 300ml to 7.6 liter sizes, the petainerJar is offered with standard neck sizes from 63 to 120mm.
Petainer Group commercial strategy director Annemieke Hartman-Jemmett said, "With petainerJar, whether supplied ready-blown or as a preform, we offer customers far shorter lead times, as well as a highly engineered quality product at a lower cost offering with improved sustainability, and, they are produced in Europe."
The company will unveil petainerJar at the FIBO 2014 event in Cologne, Germany.
