element14 has announced the addition of four new polymer capacitors from Panasonic to its range.

The SP-Cap, POSCAP, OS-CON and Polymer Hybrid capacitors provide high efficiency and low ESRLow Equivalent Series ResistanceLow Equivalent Series ResistanceLow Equivalent Series Resistance alternatives to traditional capacitors. The range, which benefits from lifetime extension as well as high safetyClass X capacitors are used in “across-the-line” applications where their failure would not lead to electric shock. Class X safety caps are used between the “live” wires carrying the incoming AC current.
