Continental Ticking Corp. of America, owner of CT Nassau Tape and CT Nassau Ticking, has broken ground on a $1.3 million, 35,000-square-foot expansion of its operations here.
The addition will be used to support the company's extruding operation, which manufactures raw materials for both companies, who serve the mattress industry.
The company's existing Burlington facility was constructed in late 1999.
In addition to investing in the new facility, CT has also hired two sales managers to support its existing customers and to position the company for growth. Elise Hufstader will cover the Northeast and Jennifer Parker will cover the rest of the country.
