Tung Ho Steel Announces Its Second-Quarter Combined Sales Revenue

Tung Ho Steel, one of the major H beam and rebar manufacturers in Taiwan, has announced its second-quarter combined sales revenue totaled NT$8.839 billion, down by 1.8% from a quarter ago.

The falling demand from Taiwan's popular construction projects and the dropping global scrap price were the major factors to cause Tung Ho's second-quarter sales drop.

For the prospect, Tung Ho Steel said that it is the slow season for rebar mills in the third quarter and the power rationing during summer time will make Tung Ho to cut its steelmaking by 30%.

Thus, Tung Ho Steel said that it will stay at the cautious position for its sales performance in the third quarter.
