American retailer Kroger is recalling Private Selection Sweet Strawberry Sorbet as the product may contain milk which is not mentioned on the label.
The product was sold at the company's Kroger and Jay C stores in 13 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia.
The product being recalled is Private Selection Sweet Strawberry Sorbet in 16oz packages, featuring a code date of 11 Aug 2015 and UPC 11110 52108.
There have been two illnesses reported associated with the consumption of the recalled product.
Consumers intolerant to milk have been advised not to eat the product as it may cause a severe reaction, if they consume.
Those who have purchased the product have been advised to return it to the store for a full refund or replacement.
