Qualcomm Is Looking for The Most Promising Start-UPS

Qualcomm is looking for the most promising start-ups and will give$100,000 to each of the best companies from China,Israel,India,Western Europe,US,Korea,Brazil and Eastern Europe and$150,000 to the best overall.

Qualcomm calls the annual awards the'QPrize'.

"Last year's entrants redefined the capabilities of mobile technology,"says Nagraj Kashyap,vp of Qualcomm Ventures.

The deadline to submit business plans for most regions is August 17,2012.

Qualcomm will select up to eight finalists from the eight contest markets.

Entrants'submitted business plans will be evaluated by a panel of experts based on the merits of the technology innovation,its market potential,the company's management capabilities and the attainability of the proposal's financial projections.
