Volvo to Launch The World's First Vehicle with Autopilot

Days ago, Li Shufu,Geely's chairman and founder,said Volvo would launch the world's first vehicle with autopilot in China's annual management conference held in Beijing.

According to the news, Volvo test autopiolt vehicle with a 50-miles main road in Goteborg, which contains highway and crossroads with heavy traffic.Those vehicles use sensors, cmareas and GPS to analyze the traffic nearby, then choose the appropriate way. It will be the first massive testing of autopilot, aimed to make sure auto-driving technology can handle the traffic in cities.

"Most Volvo models on sale have the function of auto-braking and automatic tracking, which was world's leading technology." Li Shufu said, "Volve is the world's safest car. It's not self-described but a result concluded by  third-party companies." In the first of this year, data from Sweden police and Folksam Insurance showed that Volvo S60, V60, S80 ranked first in the car safety, 60 higher than the average standard.
