All engines in the class will be compliant with Euro 6 emission standards and feature a new suspension setup with more sensitive ESP control that lends more stability, safety and road comfort.

The interior of the cars have also been modified.

The company will also make available an exclusive AMG special edition.

The range also includes the G 500 which has now been equipped with a new, powerful 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine.

The new 8-cylinder powerplant in the G 500 is based on the new generation of Mercedes-AMG V8 engines that have already been able to extract good performances from Mercedes-AMG GT and Mercedes-AMG C 63.

The V8 has also been modified so that it can be used in the G-Class. It can now deliver 310 kW (422 hp) with torque of 610 Nm.

Its spontaneous response and high tractive power have been made possible by two turbochargers that have been configured outside the cylinder banks that are arranged between them in the V. This feature allows a compact design, optimal response and low exhaust emissions.

Mercedes Benz's use of piezo direct petrol injection with spray-guided combustion also ensures high efficiency.

The aluminium crankcase of the V8 engine gives maximum strength while offering the lowest possible weight.

The use of Daimler's Nanoslide technology on the cylinder bore surfaces makes them harder in comparison to cast-iron linings that help in reducing both internal friction and fuel demand.
