Finland-based UPM Raflatac has completed its previously announced acquisition of Gascogne Laminates Switzerland’s labelstock business operations for an undisclosed sum.
UPM Raflatac Europe, Middle-East and Africa senior vice president Tapio Kolunsarka said in recent years the company has focused on growth in special labelstock products and the deal will allow it to strengthen its position in this product area in Europe.
"As a result of this transaction, customers will enjoy stronger speciality offering available through UPM Raflatac's extensive distribution network," Kolunsarka added.
Gascogne Laminates, which is the labelstock business of Gascogne Group reported sales of €44m in 2011 for its labelstock operations.
