Henkel Will Introduce New Adhesives and Coatings Portfolio for flexible packaging industry

Henkel will introduce a full range of new adhesives and coatings portfolio for the flexible packaging industry.

The company will introduce its new solvent-free laminating adhesives from the Liofol LA 7777 family that are suitable for high barrier films demanding low CO2 formation from the adhesive.

According to the German company, converters can reduce the risk of primary aromatic amine (PAA) formation and also the time required for decay of primary aromatic amines, due to the reduced monomer content and the design of the adhesive family.

Henkel has also developed a new water-based heat seal lacquer Liofol HS 2210-22 for food applications.

The low temperature sealing lacquer activates at less than 100°C and can be applied on film, foil and paper. It is characterized by a range of applications, including banderoles, soap packs and coffee packs.

With the ability to manage the gap between several technologies, the Liofol HS 2210-22 allows users who look to operate completely solvent-free lines, to integrate heat seal technology into their converted products without the need for investment in hotmelt application technology.
