Sigma Packaging Announced The Purchase of Its Second Building on Evansville's North Side

US-based pre-owned packaging and processing equipment broker Sigma Packaging has announced the purchase of its second building on Evansville's north side. The facility includes 76,000ft2 of warehouse space and ready-to-use office areas.

According to Sigma Packaging, the facility is primed for a fully-functional machine shop for equipment repair and refurbishment and the expansion will allow the company to continue its current growth trend, as well as expand existing services in corporate asset management and equipment consignment.

Sigma Packaging president and owner Rob Palmer said the additional space was required to keep pace with the company's growth in the used equipment industry.

"We are continuously purchasing equipment to build our in-stock inventory and meet customer demand," Palmer said.

The company purchased its existing 130,000ft2 facility in Evansville, Indiana in 2010.

According to tentative plans by the company, the additional warehouse space will mainly be used for large packaging machines and processing equipment. It may also relocate its machine shop and staff to the new facility in the future, for better repair of large machinery.
