CNG Fueling Infrastructure Maker with ESG to Build Transit Fast-Fill Cng Fuel Station

Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fueling infrastructure maker TruStar Energy along with Energy Systems Group (ESG) has been given a contract to build transit fast-fill CNG fuel station in Indiana for CityBus.

CityBus provides transit service to residents of Lafayette, Indiana and is planning to include hybrid diesel-electric buses and power-generating wind turbines.

The use of CNG as fuel and natural gas engine technology will facilitate in cost savings for CityBus.

ESG business development manager Mark Falahee said: "CityBus will initially purchase eleven new CNG buses. Six are forty-foot standards and an additional five smaller CNG transit buses will be added via an Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) grant."

"Buses will be replaced on an annual basis to gradually convert the 73 bus fleet."

TruStar Energy president Adam Comora said: "Converting from diesel to CNG is a game changer for enhancing the profitability of transportation operations."

"Fuel savings from 30% to 50% create significant value for fleet operators and their partners. Natural gas is better for the environment, better for domestic energy independence and better for the bottom line - truly a win-win-win solution."
