Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group has announced that in the January-August period of the current year its subsidiary Tangshan Iron and Steel Co. (Tangsteel) exported 2.7003 million mt of finished steel, up 37 percent year on year.
In the January-August period this year, Tangsteel's finished steel exports included 1.0112 million mt of cold rolled flat products,1.0127 million mt of hot rolled flat products, 569,600 mt of long steel and 106,800 mt of medium plates.
Meanwhile, Zhangjiakou, Hebei-based Xuanhua Steel, another subsidiary of Hebei Iron and Steel Group, exported 313,400 mt of finished steel in the first eight months of the current year, indicating a year-on-year rise of 92.2 percent.
