Almo Has Added New Products in Both Categories to Its 2014 Lineup

Almo, the national CE and appliance distributor, has added new products in both categories to its 2014 lineup.

On the CE side, Almo has expanded its Garmin assortment to include the Virb line of HD action cameras that can be mounted to bicycle handlebars. Recording in 1080p video, the waterproof cameras feature adjustable resolution and filming speed to capture motion up to 120 fps, plus digital stabilization, an internal microphone and ANT+ wireless connectivity to compatible Garmin devices. In addition, the Elite model incorporates Wi-Fi connectivity and GPS location recording.

Elsewhere in sports imaging, Almo has added Midland's line of wearable XTC HD video cameras, including the new XTC280VP, which captures 1080p action on land or in the water with a simple on/off button, and can be mounted to handlebars, a helmet or a windshield. Other features include image stabilization, completely silent operation and a rapid-charge battery. The cameras join Almo's Midland assortment of two-way and weather alert radios.

Also new to the Almo line card is QFX's selection of Android tablets, portable audio and headphones. Tablet models include the IT437 Android 4.2 tab with a 1.0GHz dual-core Boxchip A20 processor, 7-inch capacitive screen, built-in camera, speaker and microphone, plus 8GB of onboard storage.

On the appliance side, Almo is now carrying Cuisinart's collection of portable electric and charcoal grills and accessories, including the CGG-200 All-Foods tabletop outdoor LG gas grill featuring interchangeable grill panels designed for specific foods, a 240-square-inch surface, integrated ignition, and a precision temperature gauge.

"We are thrilled to have added such quality, reputable brands to our already impressive portfolio of appliance and consumer electronics products," said product management VP Rick Wigen.  "We are confident that these additions will be of value to our dealers and their customers and expect sales to reflect that accordingly."

Founded in 1946, Almo provides Rapid-Ship access to a wide variety of majaps, CE, mobile devices, pro A/V equipment and pro residential kitchen and outdoor appliances, including over 85 top brands. The family-owned business distributes from seven regional warehouses across the country with a total of over 1.5 million square feet.
