Taipei, Dec. 27, 2012 (CENS)--Following the passing away of Jeffery Koo sr., late chairman of Chinatrust Financial Holding, the company has formed a new top management team, as its board of directors resolved yesterday (Dec. 26) to appoint Yien Wen-lung, director of the company, as the chairman of Chinatrust Holding and Hsieh Hsiang-chuan, vice chairman of Chinatrust Bank, the flagship subsidiary of Chinatrust Holding, as vice chairman of Chinatrust Holding.
Meanwhile, the board of directors of Chinatrust Bank also resolved yesterday to appoint Tung Chao-chin, chairman of Chinatrust Venture Capital and Assets Management, as the chairman of the bank, and Chen Kuo-shih, chief secretary of Chinatrust Holding, as vice chairman of the bank.
The aforementioned four persons will all serve as directors of Chinatrust Holding and Chinatrust Bank simultaneously, indicating that they will lead the boards of directors of Chinatrust Holding and Chinatrust Bank. The top management reshuffle will ushers in a new era for separation of supervision and operation for Chinatrust Holding. The personnel arrangement will take effect after receiving approval by the regulator.
Insiders said that while the aforementioned four persons will supervise the development of Chinatrust Holding, the management and operation of the company will be in the charge of Luo Lien-fu, chief executive officer of the China operation of Chinatrust Holding, Wu Yikuei, president of Chinatrust Holding, and Chen Chia-wen, president of Chinatrust Bank. The seven persons will form a team to take over the helm of Chinatrust Holding.
Chinatrust Holding pointed out that Yien Wen-lung, the new chairman of Chinatrust Holding, has been a veteran director of the company and is familiar with the major strategy and business development of the company, boasting high expertise and strong capability for coordination. Tung Chao-chin and Hsieh Hsiang-chaun both served a stint at Hsinchu Science-based Industrial Park, boasting complete experience in administration and industry.
