FilterSense Introduce a Continuous Particulate Emission Monitor and Baghouse Leak Detector

US company FilterSense has introduced a continuous particulate emission monitor and baghouse leak detector.

FilterSense adds that it incorporates Automatic Zero and Span Checks to eliminate manual calibration audits as required by the US-EPA for MACT and other regulations for fabric filter particulate emissions monitoring. In addition to internal self checks the company’s field-proven induction-sensing and protected-probe technologies is also said to provide enhanced reliability over older opacity and triboelectic technologies particularly in difficult applications such as coal, steel, cement, carbon black, lead smelters, chemical plants and pharmaceutical spray dryers. Benefits include EPA compliance, eliminating clean-up costs, preventing the escape of valuable powders and protecting downstream equipment such as blowers and HEPA filters.
