"Adam Green" and "Mike Kirby" Have Launched a Plush Toy Featuring The Games Character

In a desperate attempt to promote their new bedroom-coded iPhone Game 'The Ories: Super Space Monsters!', North East UK based indie mobile developers ' Adam Green ' and ' Mike Kirby ' have launched a plush toy featuring the games character (with attached camera) 115,000 feet above the earth's surface!

The duo launched the plush toy attached to high altitude balloon from Croft Farm Airstrip alongside a GPS tracking unit and then proceeded to track it on their phones as it travelled on its 3 hour journey up and down, peaking at just over 115,000 ft. The toy eventually landed 38 miles away from the launch site in Charlbury.

'The Ories: Super Space Monsters!' game is available as a free download for iPhone/ iPod Touch and iPad having been released today, after two years of development by the duo. It was initially spawned out of a 'Game Jam' where they (with the help of what could be considered too much red bull) worked in a 48 hour stint in order to make the first prototype of the game.

In 'The Ories' you play as a race of cute, quirky aliens on a mission to collect space gems for their alien overlord. It's an arcade-physics game which will have you slingshotting yourself around planets frantically collecting gems!

Past projects worked on by the duo include Sonic All Star Racing (iPhone), Split Second (PSP), Hasbro Family Game Night (Xbox 360 and PS3), BAFTA nominated game 'Shplem' (iPhone) and Captain Mack (Web) for ITV.
