SsangYong Motor Has Launched Nomad to Cater to The Demands in Central Asia

South Korean automobile manufacturer SsangYong Motor has launched Nomad, a frame type SUV, Kazakhstan, to cater to the demands in Central Asia.

SsangYong Motor Unveils Nomad SUV in Kazakhstan

Nomad is the first CKD model in Kazakhstan, and will be locally assembled in Kostranay by Agromash Holding.

SsangYong has exported completely built up (CBU) vehicles to Kazakhstan, including the Korando, Actyon Sports, Kyron and the Actyon, through its partner Allur Auto for the past ten years.

The company plans to operate the assembly plant in Kazakhstan as a production hub, to increase capacity of Nomad up to 10,000 units per year and cater to Kazakhstan and neighboring CIS countries.

SsangYong Motor executive vice president sales and marketing head Choi Johng-sik said: "With Nomad CKD project, we could increase sales in Kazakhstan and secure our production base in CIS.

"We will make efforts to expand global sales by continuing to develop various products based on different market demands and consumer needs."
