New York distiller Black Button Distilling has announced that it will launch limited edition Lilac Gin next month.
The company is launching "hand crafted" Lilac Gin as a tribute to Rochester botanical heritage and Lilac Festival of "The Flower City".
Black Button stated that Lilac Gin is made with hand picked fresh lilac petals and complimentary botanicals.
Black Button Distilling owner and head distiller Jason Barrett, who is also from Rochester, said: "As a local company, we are always looking for ways to celebrate Rochester's unique heritage.
"The flowers of the Lilac Festival are a major part of our city's identity. The ability to use local ingredients and showcase them in our own way is exactly what Black Button is all about".
Six hundred bottles of Lilac Gin will be available to buy at the Black Button tasting room from 1 May, while some selected liquor stores will carry it from 2 May.
