The Official Launch of Spence Apparel Was Announced

The official launch of premium quality baby clothing e-tailer, Spence Apparel, was announced by founders Sandy and Paul Barton. Made only from organic, all-natural and other eco-friendly materials, Spence Apparel offers a unique collection of comfortable and stylish designs for infants and babies ages 0 to 18 months.

The central mission of Spence Apparel is "To empower fashion forward parents with the ability to make green choices." As parents themselves, the Barton couple understands firsthand how sensitive and irritable a newborn's skin can be, which is why only the highest quality GOTS certified organic cotton and the super-soft, plant-based fiber of viscose bamboo are used to make their layette collection of hoodies, rompers, dresses, onesies, bodysuits, pants and shorts.

Not only does Spence Apparel use the most eco-friendly fibers available to make their classically stylish designs, but they also ensure that the garments are never exposed to harsh chemicals during the processing or dyeing stages. This combination provides a guarantee of ultimate comfort, even for babies with the most sensitive skin.

A "no compromise" philosophy and unwavering determination to have it all -sustainability, style and comfort - led Sandy and Paul to the development of their own unique baby apparel brand. Spence Apparel offers an exceptional alternative to an otherwise mediocre marketplace that currently positions sustainability, style, and comfort as mutually exclusive entities; a discovery that initially set the idea of Spence Apparel into motion.

The concept of Spence Apparel developed when Sandy was pregnant with Spencer, the couple's baby girl and the company's namesake. Paul explains, "We wanted to find a way for Sandy to stay home and raise Spencer. This would require us to have a second revenue source in order for Sandy to leave work. At the same time Sandy was about 4 months pregnant, my sister was 10 months pregnant and Sandy was looking for cute/fashionable organic baby clothes to get as a gift. It proved to be a more difficult task than originally thought. Thus, Spence Apparel."

For Sandy and Paul, Spence Apparel customers are caring, responsible, fashion-forward parents just like them, "Someone who cares about living a green and organic lifestyle. Someone who cares about the world/earth their children are inheriting. Someone who cares about the latest fashion trends and enjoys (just a little bit) when their child is wearing something none of their friend's babies have," the couple comments.

Plans for the brand's future include expansion into children's wear with collections like Spence Toddler and Spence Kid's, but for the initial stages the team is focusing on the layette collection, Spence Baby.
