H&M Group's Revenues Inclusive of VAT Rose 17 Percent in Local Currencies in July 2014

Swedish apparel retailer, H&M Group said its revenues inclusive of VAT rose 17 percent in local currencies in July 2014, from the same month of last year.

In the one year period ending July 2014, H&M added 374 stores worldwide, which helped the retailer, reach a store count of 3,314 globally.

In August, H&M said it once again topped the list of the world’s biggest users of certified organic cotton, according to Textile Exchange’s latest Organic Cotton Market Report 2013.

With a 29 percent increase in use of organic cotton last year, H&M said, it manifested its leading position.

In the same month, H&M teamed up with not-for-profit organization K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers to dress people in need this Back to School season.

From August 21 to September 3, for every piece of denim purchased at H&M, the retailer will give a brand new item of denim apparel to someone in need with the help of K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers.

On July 17, H&M unveiled the most upscale flagship store in the US and the largest H&M store in the world to-date on the famed Fifth Avenue in New York.
