Foodminds Develops a New Service Food Label Compass in Partnership with Nutrition Impact

FoodMinds, a food and nutrition consulting and communications agency, has developed a new service Food Label Compass in partnership with Nutrition Impact.

The new service helps in creating a specialized suite of nutrition analysis, regulatory consulting and strategic services to guide food and beverage companies in understanding the impact, complying, communicating, and capitalizing on the new FDA guidelines.

It analyzes the food and nutrient content of clients' brands relative to the new FDA guidelines, identifies the potential changes to the serving size rules, as well as develop regulatory recommendations and guidance to construct labels modified to comply with the new requirements.

In addition, the service creates a strategic roadmap for the manufacturers' product portfolio and brand messaging to assess in planning new nutrition facts and labels that effectively communicate to consumers about the new nutrition information.

Earlier this year, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced plans to overhaul the Nutrition Facts label based on the latest science-based nutrition recommendations.

An official announcement is expected to be made by the end of this year.
