Greiner to Create K3 Packaging Technology at Its Diepoldsau Site in Switzerland

Greiner Packaging International is all set to develop K3 packaging technology at its Diepoldsau site in Switzerland.

Said to be a decoration variant for cup packaging, which is flexible than sleeves, K3 D stands for Karton-Kunststoff-Kombinationen (cardboard-plastic combinations) and the D for deformability of the cardboard wrap in the third dimension.

According to the company, K3 D combines the advantages of the classic K3 packaging with a high degree of shape flexibility.

Any desired cup shape with diameters from 68mm to 75mm can be decorated, with the K3 technology.

Greiner Packaging International division head Kenneth Boldog said that the technology offers a latitude in decorating cup packaging.

"This will benefit our customers in the dairy industry in particular, because they will be able to stage-manage their products to perfection at the Point of Sale," Boldog added.
