Beiben to Enter Indian Automobile Market

Chinese truck manufacturer BeiBen is planning to bring its commercial vehicles to India, in an attempt venture into India's automobile Industry.

Several Chinese auto companies are keen to lauch their automobile in the Indian market, while companies like SAIC Motor is already selling its vehicles locally by partnering with General Motors India, reported The Economic Times.

Another company Great Wall Motors is also planning to unveil its sports utility vehicle in India, while Beiqi Foton a Chinese automobile maker is setting up a factory near Pune, with an investment of INR16.8bn (around $278.6m).

Some analysts believe that lack of growth in home market is making Chinese automobile makers to venture abroad.

BeiBen's trucks are used in various sectors, including national defense, aviation, postal service, railways, highways, harbors, petroleum, chemicals, water and electricity and forests.

The company supplies its trucks to the worldwide countries and areas, such as Kenya, Ethiopia, Libya, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, South Africa and Syria.
