Cenntro Automotive Has Started Production of Its Electric Light Commercial Utility Vehicle

Electric vehicle manufacturer Cenntro Automotive has started production of its electric light commercial utility vehicle called Citelec at its Sparks, Nevada plant.

Cenntro Automotive Starts Production of Electric Utility Vehicle at US Plant

The utility vehicle is capable of taking payload of 1,400 pounds and can go up to 200 miles on a single charge with top speed of 50 mph.

Citelec along with company's other flagship Kombi EV has been manufactured at the Sparks, Nevada facility.

The zero emission vehicles have been sold in the European markets since 2013, and in the US it will retail for $20,000.

Citelec executive vice president McInerney said: "The Citelec launch in the US will fulfill an important void in the US market - an affordable, versatile vehicle that can meet varying needs of multiple customer bases at an affordable price point.

"The Citelec platform can support local delivery needs with its spacious van box, and is available in nine configurations ranging from the van box, to a refrigerated unit to three flatbed configurations."
