Nissan to Equip Its Forward Emergency Braking Technology to More Models in Japan

Nissan is planning to equip its Forward Emergency Braking technology to more models in Japan.

Nissan Expands Forward Emergency Braking Technology to More Vehicles

The technology uses warning lamp and buzzer that alerts the driver about a potential threat to avoid accident.

Forward Emergency Braking technology is also capable of automatically applying breaks if the driver ignores the warning signs.

Presently the technology is being used in the Skyline, X-Trail, Serena, Note, DAYZ, and the DAYZ ROOX models.

According to the Nissan, the introduction of Forward Emergency Braking into its models is bring the company close to offering fully autonomous vehicles.

Nissan also announced that it is planning to introduce Autonomous Drive technology by 2020 which includes traffic-jam pilot, multiple-lane autonomous drive technology, intersection autonomous drive and intersections without driver intervention.

Nissan has also started delivery of other technologies including Forward Emergency Braking, Camera Recognition and Control Automation into its models.

The company has also introduced non-safety related features like Around View Monitor, Intelligent Parking Assist, and the Smart Rearview Mirror to some of its vehicles.
