Chilled foods manufacturer Greencore has completed the sale of its Minsterley desserts business to Muller Dairy.
The sale , for pound 4.3M plus stock, was announced on June 15 2012. Minsterley's former owner Uniq – acquired by Greencore in 2011 for pound 113M had tried for years to revive the fortunes of the troubled business.
Cadbury branded desserts
The Minsterley site in Shropshire makes Cadbury branded desserts for the dairy company under contract. It also gives Müller, also based in Shropshire, the space and ability to expand into new areas of production such as own-label desserts.
Last February, Müller acquired Robert Wiseman dairies for pound 280M.
