Tesco Recalls Belgian Chocolate Crowns as The Products May Contain Nuts

UK-based supermarket chain Tesco is recalling Belgian Chocolate Crowns as the products may contain nuts that is not mentioned on the label, according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

The products are labelled as containing 'no nuts'. However, a number of products have been contaminated with nuts (tree nuts and/or peanuts). This makes the product a health risk for those with an allergy to nuts.

The product associated with the recall is 2 x 70g Tesco Finest Restaurant Collection 2 Triple Belgian Chocolate Crowns with 'Use by' date : All dates up to and including 7 July 2013.

Tesco will display customer notices in stores, to explain the customers the reason behind the product withdrawal. The company has also contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will notify their members about the recall.

No other Tesco products are affected by the recall.

Consumers who have bought the recalled product are advised to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
