As rumoured earlier this month, Apple has officially expanded its Reuse and Recycle program to include handsets running Android, BlackBerry and Windows devices.Previously the firm had only accepted iOS devices to encourage upgrades to the latest model.

Payments with PayPal can be made as of today from the online Apple Store by choosing the PayPal option when checking out. PayPal is not yet offered as a payment method in the Apple Store app, and it is unclear if it will be added in the future. Along with accepting PayPal payments, Apple will also promote PayPal Credit payment methods, letting Apple online shoppers pay for items over $250 with monthly payments over the course of 18 months with no interest.

UnionPay Cards are currently accepted in over 140 countries with issuance in over 30 countries, according to the company's website. As one the most-used cards in China, UnionPay's network extends to all cities and rural areas in the country, Apple said.The move comes three years after Apple first launched its online retail and App Store presence in 2010. During the intervening years, China has become one of Apple's most important operating areas and a vital area for future growth.
