Inventec Has Seen an Improvement in The Operations of Three PV Subsidiaries

Inventec has seen an improvement in the operations of three PV subsidiaries, company chairman Richard Lee said at its 2014 shareholders meeting on June 12.

The three subsidiaries are crystalline silicon solar cell maker E-Ton Solar Tech, polycrystalline solar cell maker Inventec Solar Energy and PV module maker Inventec Energy. Inventec Solar Energy recorded net profits of NT$182 million (US$6 million) for the first quarter of 2014, while E-Ton and Inventec Energy suffered net losses of NT$37 million and NT$11 million but are expected to swing to profitability in the second or third quarter.

E-Ton has an annual production capacity of 530MWp of which over 50% is for monocrystalline solar cells, Inventec Solar Energy has a capacity of 850MWp.
