Mercedes Unveils Two Special Edition Models of E-Class

Mercedes has unveiled two new special edition models of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupé and Cabriolet.

The special editions are Sport Edition and V8 Edition.

The E400 model features a 329-hp biturbo 3.0L V-6 engine and the E5504.7L biturbo V-8 engine capable of producing 402-hp.

On the other hand, the E-Class Cabriolets will be available with open top with a muscular design, and it includes two models, E400 and E550, featuring twin-domed cover that conceals the lowered soft top.

The E400 features a 329-hp biturbo 3.0L V-6 engine and the E550 features 402-hp 4.7L biturbo V-8 engine.

In the Sport Edition, Mercedes has used front apron with distinctive air inlets, a louvre in the radiator trim in black with chrome inserts, side sill panels, and distinct spoiler lip to both the models.

The models feature AGILITY CONTROL sports suspension with sporty spring and damper, which is designed to provide enhanced driving dynamics.

Sport Edition also features 18-inch AMG light-alloy wheels, and perforated front brake discs and brake calipers.

Based on E 500 Coupé and E 500 Cabriolet, the V8 Edition are powered by eight-cylinder V-engine and has been redesigned to sport a new look.

On the exterior, the vehicles feature titanium grey-painted, 19-inch AMG multi-spoke light-alloy wheels, and special paint finishes in selenite grey metallic.

The V8 models also feature AGILITY CONTROL sports suspension with selectable mode to provide a better agility and ride comfort.

On the interior the V8 models feature multi-contour seats, 4-way lumbar support and memory package.

For the comfort of the passengers, Mercedes has introduced THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control in the V8 models, and it also includes separate temperature control for driver/front passenger and rear compartment.

The company said that it would also upgrade all its E-Class Coupé and Cabriolet models with comprehensive smartphone integration and Live Traffic Information.

The infotainment systems will now provide access to Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink for iOS users.

Mercedes-Benz has been manufacturing E-Class vehicles since 1993 with different engine and body configurations.
