Mason Companies Purchases CVP-500 Automated Packing System

Mason Companies, a retailer of footwear, apparel and general merchandise, has purchased new CVP-500 automated packing solution from ProShip.

The firm will install the CVP-500 to optimize all steps of package fulfillment while facilitating its continued e-commerce growth.

Designed to build, fill, fold and label each order in one seamless process, the cost-effective automated packing solution also creates a custom-fit package every seven seconds, thus eliminating unnecessary void fill.

ProShip business development/CVP-500 director Scott Eggenberger said: “We are thrilled to extend our partnership with Mason Companies with the purchase of the CVP-500 automated packing solution.

“Mason Companies currently uses the ProShip Product Suite, our enterprise-wide, multi-carrier shipping software that optimizes shipping processes.

“With the CVP-500, the company will have a fully integrated cost-saving solution for order fulfillment that will increase packing and shipping efficiencies, especially during the peak holiday season.”

Mason said that the new system will be installed to handle the peak shipping volumes of the upcoming holiday season while saving money in labor, packaging materials and shipping costs.

Mason Companies distribution center manager Pat Sullivan said: “We saw the CVP-500 in action while in Europe, where it has been very well received by a number of large retailers.

“We were extremely impressed with its capabilities and its ability to improve our warehouse efficiency and customer service.”

The sale represents ProShip’s second for CVP-500 automated packing solution since its launch in February 2016 in the US.
