Arklu Picks up Oppenheim Toy Portfolio's Platinum Award for Lottie Dolls

Robot Girl Lottie and Kawaii Karate Lottie won the accolade

Arklu's Robot Girl Lottie and Kawaii Karate Lottie dolls have received the Platinum Award from the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio.

Since launching in August 2012, Lottie dolls have received 19 international awards including five Oppenheim Portfolio Platinum Awards.

The Oppenheim Toy Portfolio was founded in 1989 as 'the only independent consumer review of children's media' by child development experts Joanne Oppenheim and her daughter Stephanie Oppenheim, contributors to NBC's TODAY Show.

"It's really exciting to see how Lottie's 'pro girl' feel has found resonance with parents and kids alike," said Lucie Follett, creative director of Arklu.

"Since launching Lottie just over a year ago, we are now on sale in 14 countries and will be extending the Lottie brand further with the release of a series of chapter books in late 2014".

The Lottie range has been designed to reflect the average proportions on a nine year old girl and doesn't wear makeup, high heels or jewellery. The Lottie motto is 'be bold, be brave, be you'.
