Chemtura to Ramp up Production of Naugalube ADPA

Chemical company Chemtura has announced that it is going to ramp up production of naugalube alkylated diphenyl amine (ADPA) at three of its production sites to meet demand in automotive industry.

The move has been made to increase the production of liquid antioxidants ADPA to meet anticipated shortage in antioxidants in the automotive petroleum additive industry.

The company is planning to increase the production at the Elmira, Ontario, Canada site by 20%, and Kaohsiung, Taiwan site by 10% andnd Latina, Italy site by 25%.

The company says that when engine oils and transmission fluids are formulated with antioxidants they help reduce automotive emissions, and according to statistics automotive applications make up nearly 75% of global antioxidant consumption.
