Industry executives predict that Taiwan's machine-tool maker Goodway Machine Corp. will earn NT$5.5 per share this year on consolidated revenues of NT$7.5 billion (US$250.0 million at NT$30:US$1) and NT$8 billion (US$266.6 million), thanks to the recovery of the automobile, aircraft, and energy industries in Europe and North America.
The executives explain that these industries kept Goodway's shipments thriving in the third quarter and forecast that the company's consolidated revenue will top NT$10 billion (US$333.3 million) in 2015, due partly to its vigorous expansion of manufacturing sites in mainland China and Taiwan.
Goodway recently completed construction of the first factory on its manufacturing site in Wujiang in the Chinese city of Suzhou. The 46,200-square-meter factory is designed to generate revenues of up to RMB350 million (US$57.3 million at RMB6.1:US$1) a year in its initial stage.
Construction of the second factory, to be carried out on 33,000 squarer meters of land, is scheduled to be completed in 2016, adding RMB200 million (US$32.7 million) to the company's annual revenues.
Industry executives estimate the company's operations in the mainland will generate revenues of up to RMB400 million (US$65.5 million) next year, doubling the 2014 figure.
In Taiwan, the company plans to spend NT$600 million (US$20 million at Nt$30:US$1) to build the first factory on its 165,000-square-meter manufacturing complex in the Chiayi Dapumei Intelligent Industrial Park in Chiayi County. The factory is to be completed in the final quarter of 2015.
In light of seasonal factors and the fact that the company has a NT$2.4 billion (US$80 million) order backlog, Goodway's revenues for the final quarter of this year are expected to reach an all-time high.
