Car Rack Manufacturer Rocky Mounts Has Hired Bruno Maier as President

Car rack manufacturer Rocky Mounts has hired Bruno Maier as president.

Maier comes to the Boulder, Colorado, company with more than 20 years of industry experience, including stints at Huffy Bicycle Co., Brunswick Bicycles and Cycling Sports Group/Pacific Cycle. This summer he left Bikes Belong—now PeopleForBikes—where he worked for four years.

"Bruno comes to Rocky Mounts with extensive leadership experience," said Bobby Noyes, founder of Rocky Mounts. "He brings exceptional consumer product branding and sales experience to our team, and we look forward to accelerating our growth through Bruno's vision and leadership."

Rocky Mounts started in 1993 when Noyes ventured from New Jersey to Boulder, Colorado, to feed his addiction to bikes. The first line of bike racks were crafted by hand and sold from the back of his truck. Today the company is still independently owned by Noyes, according to the company's website.

Rocky Mounts sells and markets car rack systems for the outdoor market including skis and bikes as well as cargo baskets.
