According to USDA, one of the product ingredients, sodium nitrite, is not mentioned on the product label.

The recalled products are 10lb bulk frozen packages of Cedar Creek Hickory Smoked Sliced Bacon, manufactured on different dates between 23 July and 11 December this year.

These products carry an establishment number "EST. 18747" inside the USDA mark of inspection and they were supplied to distributors in Florida and Georgia.

Meanwhile, Oakville's BMG Trading has recalled approximately 26,108 pounds of pork products that were manufactured without the benefit of federal inspection.

The 1800lb combo bins containing 65 - 75 legs of Pork Leg Flank On Combo carries the establishment number '394' inside the Canadian mark of inspection.

The agencies found that the product failed to present at the Canadian border for FSIS reinsertion and was distributed into US commerce, USDA said.

However, no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products have been reported yet.
