Ampac Has Announced The Addition of Two New Machines

US-based flexible packaging manufacturer Ampac has announced the addition of two new machines, which expand the company’s capabilities to serve the needs of its existing and new customers for value added laminations, bags and pouches.

The additions include a Mamata VegaPlus 1000 bag/pouch machine and a Nordmeccanica Duplex Combi Horizontal laminator.

The Mamata VegaPlus supplements the existing coextruded bag/pouch and string zipper competencies of Ampac and serves as an improvement to the company's Ampac Seattle's pouching capabilities.

According to Ampac, the machine will allow its customers to be able to specify flange zippers and add pouch style capabilities to traditional side weld bags.

It also brings new competencies to the company in twin seals and bottom sealed handle bags with the ability to punch gussets for stand up pouch gusset tacking.

The wide-web lamination capability Nordemeccanica Duplex Combi Horizontal laminator supports the additional Mamata pouch making machine, as well as the recently installed Hudson Sharp Inno-Lok and Pour and Lok equipment.

The Ampac Seattle facility will use the laminator to coextrude, print, laminate and provide premade pouches and /or pre-zippered roll stock to its growing customer base.

Ampac marketing director Dave Bartish said the addition of the machine capabilities elevates the company's position with its customers.

"It supplements an already strong menu of machine expertise for Ampac and it's exciting to offer more to our customers," Bartish said.
