Concept CA-MIEV and G4 Cars Will Be Introduced by Mitsubishi at Shanghai Auto Exhibition

Mitsubishi Motors (MMC) will introduce its Concept CA-MiEV and G4 cars at the upcoming 15th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition to be held from 20-29 April 2013.

The Concept CA-MiEV will be an electric vehicle (EV) powered by an electric motor that runs on the 28kWh high capacity battery to generate an output of 80kW, while offering a range of 300km.

EV components will include integrated motor, inverter, and charger module that are claimed to reduce power loss, while the vehicle comes with a full-time regenerative braking system and a magnetic resonance wireless charging device.

MITSUBISHI Concept G4 is a new compact sedan that will be powered by the 1.2L MIVEC petrol engine paired with a CVT sub-geartrain.

The company claims that the vehicle will come with reinforced impact safety evolution (RISE) body made by using high-tensile steel, which makes the sedan light and offers higher fuel efficiency.

Features of the vehicle will include cut-diamond design of the front grille, headlamps and rear combination lamps.

Apart from the two new concept models, the company will showcase production models including the ASX compact SUV at the exhibition.
