Continental Along with Feat to Develop The Next Generation of Instrument Cluster

German autoparts maker Continental has partnered with Fujitsu Semiconductor Embedded Solutions Austria (FEAT) for the development of next generation of instrument cluster for commercial vehicles.

This collaboration will develop sustainable design solutions for Continental's Platform using the productive and future oriented application of CGI Studio.

Continental and FEAT will unveil latest trends and developments in Human-Machine Interaction (HMI) applications at the Automotive Cockpit HMI that takes place from 24-27 September 2013 in Bonn, Germany.

The HMI applications leverage both 2D and 3D development capabilities, for fast performance, high quality and an enhanced user experience.

Continental commercial vehicles & aftermarket head Michael Ruf said that they were looking for a development partner for their complex instrument clusters, a partner with the know how to handle their advanced vision of the future of the commercial vehicle market, HMI development and customer expectations.

"With the ambition to find the best possible solution an extended and time intensive period of evaluation started. The result was the implementation of CGI Studio," Ruf added.

"An excellent answer to the prerequisites of our commercial vehicle platform and a perfect solution for our customers!."

FEAT provides HMI tools for worldwide automotive, industrial and telecommunication customers.

Continental, with sales of EUR32.7bn in 2012, is among the leading automotive suppliers worldwide. As supplies brake systems, systems and components for powertrains and chassis, instrumentation, infotainment solutions, vehicle electronics, tires and technical elastomers.
