Renault Will Assemble More New Vehicles for Cooperative Partners Daimler and Nissan

Renault reached a restructuring agreement with 3 Unions recently. After paving the road, the company will assemble more new vehicles for cooperative partners Daimler and Nissan.

According to the contract Renault signed with CFDT Union on March 13, Renault will produce 80,000 vehicles per year for the brands of cooperative corporations, which can improve operating rate of French factory. It can help French staff solve employment problem in the situation that European new car demand is downturn.

French media expressed in January, Renault will produce the next generation of Nissan brand compact hatchback in Flins factory or Douai factory. Nissan will produce 80,000 models in Renault’s factory at that time. Another media guesses that Renault will produce Mercedes – Benz A-Class and B-Class in French factory, but CEO of Renault Carlos Ghosn doesn’t say anything.

Foreign media predicts that Renault will announce the plan of producing cooperative corporations’ models in the next few months.
