In recent years, "Low-carbon", "Green Environmental Protection" and "Sustainable Development" have become the global hot focus.  "Green Life" has been a pursuing lifestyle for modern people. Governments and consumers have realised the serious problems of the environmental pollution, wastes of resources, climate variation, etc. which derive from rapid development of economy. In these circumstances, a series of environment protection laws, regulations, and standards have been introduced. Hence, only the green environmentally friendly products can survive and meet consumers' demands better in the coming fierce market competitions. Electronic product is one of the most consumed products. For its manufacturers, to improve the green performances of their environmental-protective products from an entire supply chain level to ensure green sustainable development has become a key way for them to enhance the competitiveness of products.

EU Directive RoHS 2.0 has come into force and will be put into implementation from Jan. 3rd, 2013. This new directive puts forward higher requirements on product range, restricted substances, CE mark, etc. With this implementation of EU RoHS, more and more countries and regions make related control requirements on electrical and electronic products. Therefore, the RoHS requirements show an obvious growing trend of globalization. Meanwhile, REACH regulation which is hailed as the most important environmental protection regulation in recent 20 years, has been stipulated with more detailed and strict requirements. With the publishing of 7th batch SVHC candidate list on Jun. 18th, 2012, there are 84 substances included in SVHC candidate list now. And the announcement and notification requirements of REACH regulation have been upgraded accordingly. At the same time, in the electronics industry with increasingly fierce competition, the reliability of products has been valued by more and more markets and customers, and it has been listed as an important quality indicator for products. All of these have raised higher requirements on the "Made of China" products. Learn and master the latest trends of global green environmental rules in time, get command of the most updated environmental protection control technologies, assure products' energy-saving green performance, stick to sustainable development, have become core competence for enterprises in future.
