The 2014 Highlander has a bolder styling approach, with a more aggressive grille design, hood and side panels. According to the company, the body design of the 2014 Toyota Highlander increases outward visibility to provide a safer driving environment.

The new Toyota Highlander also features several changes inside the vehicle. The company has increased both the comfort features and dimensions. The revamped model features generous amounts of soft-touch surfaces and up-scale finishes throughout the interior along with extra inches of leg and headroom.

More technology has been added to the 2014 model. The Toyota's Entune infotainment system provides available apps and advanced controls to the driver and front seat passenger.

Additionally, the new Highlander models also receive an information display located near the gauge cluster to more readily provide helpful vehicle information. A class-exclusive, and first of its kind in the automotive world, voice projector will also be an available option on 2014 Highlander models. It enables the driver to communicate with rear seat occupants via the SUV's speakers.

The 2014 Toyota Highlander will be available with either a four-cylinder or V-6 engine option. The two engine options are operated by a six-speed transmission and can be combined with all-wheel drive systems.
