Lawsuit Has Been Filed by Two Mothers Against General Mills Alleging

Lawsuit has been filed by two mothers from California against General Mills alleging it has used the 'natural' label falsely.

According to the lawsuit, the Bisquick and Cheerios maker deceives consumers by selling Nature Valley products as 'natural', while they contain high maltose and fructose corn syrup, which is illegal under the California law of false advertising and anti-competitiveness.

General Mills cements the image of Nature Valley products as all natural on Nature Valley portal, along with running campaigns through several social media networks.

Another lawsuit faced by General Mills reportedly revolves around Yoplait Greek Yogurt that allegedly contains milk protein concentrate.

The firm lost a bid in May 2012 over a lawsuit around Fruit by the Foot and Fruit Roll-ups labeling.
