Porsche Has Reported a 21% Increase in Sales During April

German sports car manufacturer Porsche has reported a 21% increase in vehicle sales during April to 15,200 units, compare to the corresponding month in 2012.

The company sold about 52,241 vehicles during the first four months of 2013, a fifth more compared to the same period last year.

Porsche Sales and Marketing executive board member Bernhard Maier said, "Nevertheless we are monitoring the market fluctuations very closely and continue to proceed cautiously."

The manufacturer delivered 7,536 units of the Cayenne off-road vehicles during the month, a fourth more than the vehicles sold for the same month last year.

Regionally, Asia-Pacific, Africa and middle east registered sales of 5,351 vehicles, up by 34.5% against the 3,978 units sold in the same month prior year, while recorded 10.8% increase with delivery of 5,125 vehicles.

For the month, the USA recorded an increase of 17.3% with sales of 4,032 units, whereas sales in China went up 27.8% from 2,338 to 2,988.
